How to use this Roblox username generator
- Type a word you like (your name, a nickname, a hobby). It is optional: leave it empty for fully random ideas.
- Pick a style, or keep “All styles” to mix everything.
- Press Generate. Tap any result to copy it, or the heart to keep it in your favorites (saved on this device only).
- Not inspired? Press Generate again: every batch is new.
Choosing a Roblox name
Changing your Roblox username later costs Robux, so it is worth taking a minute to pick one you will still like in a year. Short names feel “OG”; funny names are easy for friends to remember.
Roblox name rules
Every name this tool shows already follows these rules, so it can be used as is:
- Between 3 and 20 characters.
- Allowed: letters, numbers, underscores (_).
- At most one “_”.
- Cannot start or end with “_”.
Platforms sometimes update their rules. If a name is refused, the platform's own message is the final word.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if a name is free on Roblox?
This tool creates ideas; it cannot see Roblox's private list of taken names. Tap “Search on Roblox”: if a player with exactly that name appears, it is taken. The sign-up page also checks it.
Can a Roblox username have two underscores?
No. Roblox allows only one underscore, and not at the start or the end. This generator never breaks that rule.
How much does it cost to change a Roblox username?
Changing your username costs Robux (1,000 Robux at the time of writing). Your display name is separate and can be changed for free, with a waiting time between changes.
